Impact of October 2025 Federal Government Shutdown on FWHS

As you may already know, the federal government is officially shutdown as of the morning of October 1, 2025. Please see the information below to learn how this shutdown affects Fort Worth Housing Solutions:

1. FWHS is not a federal agency. Our office remains open and operating as usual.
2. Funding is secured for October Housing Assistance Payments (HAP). Rental assistance will be paid to landlords on time as usual.
3. We are closely monitoring developments and will notify the public if the shutdown extends beyond this funding period.
