After FWHS has given the landlord a move-in approval, the resident may move in. FWHS will make the first payment once it receives the signed contract and copy of the lease agreement from the landlord.
FWHS makes monthly rent payments directly to the landlord during the first week of the month following receipt of the signed contract and lease agreement. Payments are retroactive to the date the client moved in after approval. If the landlord has submitted the signed contract and lease agreement and has not received payment, the landlord may email landlordservices@fwhs.org.
Interested landlords should review the FWHS New Landlord Orientation presentation at www.fwhs.org/landlords/. Required documentation should be submitted to landlordservices@fwhs.org, a list of required documents can be located here. The landlord may then register an available property on the www.affordablehousing.com website, the most comprehensive list of properties that accept Housing Choice Vouchers.
Once a tenant is identified, the landlord may create an account with a user name and password in the FWHS Partner Portal. You must enter a Social Security Number or Tax ID number that matches the property owner’s or holding company’s name. You may create multiple users who can access your Partner Portal account. You will receive a confirmation email once you have registered in the Partner Portal.
The Partner Portal is our primary platform for communicating with landlords and the place to check for payments, notices and other important information.
Landlords may download a Rent Increase Request Form from www.fwhs.org/forms/. Completed forms should be emailed to rentincrease@fwhs.org or faxed to 817-333-3550 at least 60 days prior to the client’s anniversary, or re-certification date.
