McCormack Baron Salazar Development Inc. is requesting Qualifications from
contractors for the abatement and demolition of Cavile Place, a former 300-unit public housing community in Fort Worth, Texas. MBS, a nationally recognized developer of economically integrated neighborhoods, is the Housing partner for Fort Worth Housing Solutions and the City of Fort Worth for the Stop Six Choice Neighborhood Transformation Plan.
The contractor selection process will involve a qualification-based selection process to develop a short list of contractors. The qualifications-based selection criteria for the RFQ is included in the full announcement here. An addendum listing questions from respondents is available here.
The criteria used in evaluating the submissions will include factors that are determined to offer the greatest value to the project. Current information on the project is included in this document; however, it is subject to change.
Email submission of Qualifications Statements are due by 4 p.m. CST on July 21, 2020. The subject line shall read “Qualifications for General Contractor – Abatement and Demolition – Cavile Place, Fort Worth, Texas.” Transmittal shall be addressed to

electronic copy may be submitted in PDF format.
The abatement and demolition contract is scheduled to be awarded by Sept. 21, 2020 with work to begin in October and substantial completion by mid- April.
